How I Ran a Marathon, Without Being Prepared...

We’ve all heard, “Life’s a marathon, not a sprint.” 

So to deepen my knowledge about life, I had to run a marathon. (There’s no other way, right?) 

Let’s set the scene:

Recommended training is typically 4+ months with 100s of km’s ran.

I trained for 4 weeks. Ran/Walked 7 times with distances ranging from 5-10 k and ran one 20 km “long run.”

During the marathon, I ran without distractions. No phone, watch, or music.

This is not about the importance of preparation, hard work and consistency.

It’s about overcoming adversity and learning the most important lesson of life.
